Lake Ralph Hall Roadway Relocation Progress Design-Build Project

A $490 million water resource project to be completed in 2025, Lake Ralph Hall will be Texas’ newest lake and one of the state’s biggest water projects in nearly 30 years. Located on the North Sulphur River in Fannin County, the lake will provide an additional 35 million gallons daily of water for the residents in Denton, Collin and Fannin counites. The roadway relocation project consists of relocating 2.7 miles FM 1550, realigning 3 miles SH 34 including design and construction of a 6000-ft-long bridge at North Sulphur River and a 600-ft-long bridge at Merrill Creek, and termination of various county roads to be impacted by the new reservoir. On this 1st transportation progressive design-build project in Texas, Beyond serves as the Lead Quality Management firm on the progressive design-builder team managing both design and construction quality programs and ensuring the seamless handover of the completed roadway facilities back to TxDOT.
