Midland ISD

Midland, TX

The Midland Independent School District (ISD) was granted a $163 million bond to construct three new elementary schools and expand ten other elementary schools, providing a total of 167 new classrooms. This major expansion was a result of the huge population influx due to the regions’ oil and gas industry expansion. The three new elementary school projects consisted of Bunche, Southwest, and Fasken.

Beyond’s engineers and technicians performed materials testing and construction observation services (CMT) for the entire bond package, which included geotechnical inspection, structural observation, construction materials testing, and concrete, asphalt and soil testing for quality assurance.
